His Biography
He was born in the province of Frosinone in 1943, but only began painting with a certain continuity in the 1990s as a self-taught artist.
He has always cultivated a great love for art, practicing drawing, especially in his youth, refining his technique under the guidance of Maestro Franco Verroca during his high school years.
First his university studies and then his professional activity as an engineer kept him away from any artistic activity for many years, although he always remained interested in art, until he felt the irrepressible need to express on canvas through colors those emotions, kept dormant for too long, for the pure pleasure of representing situations and images congenial to him such as a face, a female figure, or a theme of social interest.
Experiencing his painting in a very intimate way, to the point of almost being shy to share it with others, he did not attend galleries and exhibitions practically until 2009, when he began exhibiting with the association “Cento pittori di via Margutta” in Rome, continuing then, due to the unanimous acclaim received, in a crescendo of exhibitions and high-profile competitions, earning important recognition.
In 2012 he became a member of the prestigious Accademia di San Lazzaro, chaired by Prof. Daniele Radini Tedeschi.
They have written about his Art
Skilled both in chromatic rendering and in the formulation of drawing, the artist focuses his attention on the human figure analyzed in its intimacy and interiority, the latter expressed thanks to a body language full of vital spirit.
Some of his paintings depict movements of the unconscious and achieve the desired results thanks to a clear, conscious, and meditated luministic force on classical schemes.
Many works depict women portrayed in bold, unsettling, and seductive poses, characterized by swirling brushstrokes that seem to spring from a tormented spirit.
Prof. Daniele Radini Tedeschi
Skilled figurative artist with great lyrical and emotional expressiveness.
He creates on canvas free brushstrokes of intense color that highlight the well-defined figure, bordering on hyperrealism.
The women he depicts are delicate, dreamy, and of great impact.
His works show us an artist with a sensitive soul and attentive to female fragility.
Dr. Sabina Fattibene
