HIS BIOGRAPHY

Born in Naples in 1975, he graduated from the artistic high school of Naples in 1994 and later earned a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples in 2001. His first oil paintings were influenced by the metaphysics of De Chirico and the surrealism of Dalí and Magritte. In 1997, inspired by artists such as Burri, Palladino, and Pomodoro, he left oil painting and began an experimental phase using various materials such as asphalt, wood, sand, enamels, and silicone glues. In this phase, his subjects depicted aspects related to human emotions and concepts of existence. In 2006, he resumed his initial metaphysical-surreal style, transforming it into something else. The charm of Escher's lithographs and the geometric balance of Mondrian entered his canvases, where this time acrylic colors brought to life cities or landscapes strictly in axonometric perspectives. In the same period, he painted various oil canvases using pure color, without diluting it, playing with geometric shapes. In 2013, he abandoned acrylics and returned to material work. Ropes, stones, colored powders, and common objects such as watches and cell phones emerge from the various supports used to become protagonists of the works themselves. There is no inside or outside, there is everything. In some of his works such as: Abandoning the Road, Cosmic Implosion, The Mind Dominates Matter, concepts related to man, the emotional and rational sphere at the same time, are enclosed. Currently, his research is focused on inserting words and numbers on his canvases. From 1997 to today, he has participated in numerous exhibitions throughout Italy. He lives and works in the Marche region.
